Geoff Joseph is a native of Pensacola, with his family ties in the local community dating back eight generations. Geoff attended Washington High School and grew up around a family that has run multiple local businesses and his family has been a part of building Pensacola.
Geoff eventually moved to Tennessee to attend Maryville College and play soccer. At Maryville College, he received a Bachelor of Arts in History. After returning to Pensacola for a year, working at a local personal injury firm, he moved again to Jacksonville, where he attended Florida Coastal School of Law. During his time in law school, Geoff received the Pro Bono Honors certificate for hundreds of unpaid hours of legal service to the community, as well as the Legal Research and Writing Certificate. Over his three years there, he clerked for a felony criminal judge in Jacksonville, interned for the State Attorney’s Office in Bunnell, Florida, and interned for the Tennessee Attorney General. These internships provided Geoff with an advanced insight into civil and criminal litigation that can only be learned from experience itself.
After law school, Geoff returned to Pensacola to take the job as a prosecutor for the Office of the State Attorney. He prosecuted both misdemeanor and felony cases in both Escambia and Santa Rosa county over his two and half years there. During his time as a prosecutor, Geoff handled thousands of cases. He had numerous jury trials and an uncountable number of motion hearings in front of local county and circuit court judges. He cultivated strong relationships with prosecutors, judges, and other members of the legal community. His time in the criminal law field gave Geoff valuable knowledge about the ins and outs of the criminal justice system in the Florida panhandle and gave him necessary experience to litigate any type of legal matter.
Today, Geoff Joseph works with our firm as an associate attorney handling both criminal defense and personal injury cases.
